Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SocketSense mobile application ("App") developed and operated by REFERRINGO LLP ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the App.

SocketSense is a background utility application for Android devices that monitors charger connection and battery level events. Its core features include:

• Alert notifications when a charger is disconnected too quickly after being plugged in
• Low battery level alerts based on a user-defined threshold
• Charging session statistics displayed within the app
• Customisable alert sounds, thresholds, and sensitivity settings

The App is intended as a helpful reminder tool. It is not a substitute for proper electrical safety practices or professional electrical advice.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SocketSense. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App and that they have reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use SocketSense on Android devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

This licence does not include the right to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Sublicense, sell, or transfer the App or your rights under these Terms
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

When using SocketSense, you agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in India or your local jurisdiction
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks connected to the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App or associated systems
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the App

SocketSense is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will function without interruption, errors, or bugs on all devices
• Alerts will fire in every situation or within an exact timeframe on all Android versions and OEM configurations
• The App will be compatible with all Android device manufacturers, custom ROMs, or future Android versions
• The App will prevent any specific outcome (e.g., a missed charge, a power interruption)

Background service reliability is subject to Android OS behaviour, device manufacturer battery optimisation policies, and system-level constraints that are outside our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, REFERRINGO LLP and its members, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Missed alerts due to device-level battery optimisation killing the background service
• False alerts caused by intermittent cable or socket connections
• Any damage to your device, electrical equipment, or property
• Any loss of data, revenue, or business arising from reliance on the App

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which, if the App is free, is zero).

We may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or address compatibility issues. Updates may be delivered through the Google Play Store. Some updates may be required to continue using the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We also reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice.

Your licence to use SocketSense is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach any of these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability — shall survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
